Glucose 40% B. Braun, concentrate for solution for infusion

GLUCOSE Description:

• Solution of glucose (grape sugar) for energy supply
• administered after dilution as an infusion, i.e. through a thin tube into a vein (intravenously)
• Active ingredient: glucose monohydrate

Application:

• if you need glucose to raise low blood sugar levels
• Dosing is determined by the doctor based on the blood sugar level

Glucose 40% B. Braun must not be used:
if your blood sugar level is too high , if your blood
potassium level is too low,
if your blood is too acidic.

If you use more Glucose 40% B. Braun than you should:
Overdosing can lead to high blood sugar levels, an increase in the concentration of electrolytes in the blood and loss of fluids.

and your doctor will decide on further treatment measures, such as insulin.

Glucose 40% B. Braun must not be used:
