The scalp has around 150,000 follicles from which hair grows. Hair is an outgrowth containing horn substance from the building material keratin (= Latin for horn). Fingernails and toenails are made of the same material. Hair grows specifically and exclusively in various mammals.
The life cycle of a hair is 3 years on average in men and up to 7 years in women. The functions include protection against weather and foreign bodies, thermoregulation and tactile function. In addition, the main hair has an aesthetic function. They are regarded as an ideal of beauty and are an expression of group affiliation (e.g. the brightly colored Iroquois of punks).
HAARGUT Forte, tocotrienols, squalane, phytosterols, vitamin E complex, Q10, How to grow hair faster, True beauty and the unfolding of the power of nature come from within
tocotrienols
- Four of the eight E vitamins are referred to as tocotrienols.
- There are alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocotrienols.
- The fat-soluble tocotrienols are found in milk, eggs, seeds, nuts, cereals and in oils (e.g. grapeseed oil, wheat germ oil or coconut oil).
- Tocotrienols are antioxidants.
- Vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
tocopherols
- Tocopherols make up the other half of the E vitamins.
- Tocopherols differ in their structure from tocotrienols in that they have different side chains.
- There is also alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherol.
- Alpha and gamma tocopherol are found in the blood (serum and red blood cells).
Coenzyme Q10
- Q 10 is a structural component of cells and is stored in the mitochondria, the "power plants of the cells".
- Q10, also called ubiquinone 10, is similar in structure to vitamins E and K.
- Q 10 is found in fatty fish, nuts, sesame, vegetable oils, or spinach, among other things. However, exposure to heat from cooking can destroy the enzyme.
squalane
- Squalane is the hydrogenated form (= accumulation of hydrogen) of the substance squalene and is similar to human sebum.
- The name is derived from the Latin word "squalus" (= shark). In the past, squalene was extracted from fish oil.
- It is one of the main components of the lipid film of skin and hair.
phytosterols
- Phytosterols are plant hormone substances that are similar to the way human hormones work.
- In substance, phytosterols are the same as cholesterol. They are precursors to certain vitamins and steroids.
- Phytosterols occur naturally in vegetable fats and oils.
- Phytosterols function as part of the lipid protective film of human skin and hair.
carotenoids
- Carotenoids, more precisely beta-carotene, serve as a precursor to vitamin A (also "retinol"). They are only produced by plants.
- Carotenoids are considered antioxidants.
- Vitamin A has a role in cell specialization.
- Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.
