Ashanti was born in the exotic island of Sri Lanka. Growing up in the hill capital, Kandy, she was inspired by the magnificent works of art and craft. As a young adult, a talent for designing jewelry prompted her to launch her own brand ASHANTI, and harness the talents of skilled local women to produce these items of jewelry in their homes.
