Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water). when consuming, you should stand or sit upright.

There are no known overdose symptoms. If in doubt consult your doctor.
Forgot to take?
Continue taking it as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.
In general, pay attention to a conscientious dosage, especially for babies, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.

- Children under 12 years of age: The medicine must not be used.

- Pregnancy: According to current knowledge, the drug should not be used.

- Beware of allergies to dyes (e.g. indigo carmine with the E number E 132)!
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. Active ingredient: 1 HepaBesch® capsule contains 150-163 mg dry extract of milk thistle fruits (25-40:1); corresponding to 83 mg silymarin, calculated as silibinin (HPLC); Extraction agent: acetone.
Areas of application:
For liver protection therapy and for supportive treatment in chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver cirrhosis and toxic liver damage (caused by liver toxins).
Dosage: 1 to 2 capsules twice a day

How long can you take the medicine?
- The doctor treating you will decide how long you should take it. If your symptoms persist after this, please see your doctor.
- Please also talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

If you take more than you should
- the side effects described may occur to an increased extent. If you suspect an overdose of the medicine, please contact your doctor. Symptoms of poisoning have not been observed to date.

If you forget to take a dose
- do not double the dose thereafter, but continue to take it as directed here or as directed by your doctor.

If you stop taking
- Your original symptoms may reappear. Irrespective of this, no negative symptoms have been described so far when the drug is discontinued.
- If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

- It is best to take the capsules whole after breakfast and after dinner. Drink enough liquid, preferably 1 glass of drinking water, then the capsule is easier to swallow. Do not take the capsules lying down.
side effects
- Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- Rarely (in 1 to 10 patients in 10,000) gastrointestinal complaints such as B. nausea or a slight laxative effect observed.
- Very rarely (affects less than 1 user in 10,000) hypersensitivity reactions, e.g. B. skin rash, shortness of breath or itching.
- If you experience hypersensitivity reactions, stop taking the preparation.
- If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects that are not specified.

- Medicines can interact with each other so that their effect is stronger or weaker than usual. Interactions of the preparation with other drugs have not yet been proven, but cannot be ruled out. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
- Improvement in liver function while taking the drug can change the metabolism of other drugs taken at the same time, so that the dosage may have to be adjusted.
- If the preparation and amiodarone (medicine against cardiac arrhythmias) are taken at the same time, it cannot be ruled out that the antiarrhythmic effect of amiodarone will be increased.
- Interactions with food or drinks are not known.

- if you are allergic to milk thistle fruit and/or other daisy plants or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

- for the treatment of acute poisoning

- Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

- There are no adequate studies on the use of the preparation during breastfeeding. It should therefore not be taken while breastfeeding.

When is special care required when taking it?
- Particular caution is required if you have liver disease or have had liver disease in the past. In these cases, please consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
- If you have jaundice (light to dark yellow discoloration of the skin, yellowing of the whites of the eyes), a doctor should be consulted.
- Treatment with a drug is not a substitute for avoiding the causes that damage the liver (e.g. alcohol).

- Only give the preparation to children after consulting a doctor, as there is not enough experience or research to make a general recommendation for this age group.

- There are no special precautions required.
