What is HPV?
Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the most common sexually transmitted disease. It affects both the skin and the mucous membrane, especially on the cervix. 80% of women will contract at least one type of human papillomavirus (HPV) at some point in their lives.

How do I know if I have HPV?
Since the HPV infection is symptomless in most cases, it can only be diagnosed by visiting the gynecological practice. Most importantly, regular check-ups for early detection. Cervical cancer can be prevented if the infection and/or cervical lesions are detected at an early stage.
• The pap smear – known as vaginal cytology – helps detect the occurrence of cervical lesions at a very early stage.
• In addition to the infection, the HPV test also shows the HPV type.

How are lesions caused by HPV treated?
Your gynecological practice will advise you on the most appropriate treatment if you have cervical lesions. It is very important to follow the appropriate advice and instructions.

How is Colpofix ^® used?
• Insert the applicator deep into the vagina once a day before going to bed and spray 5 times (see also instructions for use).
• Duration of use: According to the doctor's recommendation.
• After use, remove the applicator from the spray nozzle and dispose of it in the residual waste (household waste).
