Functional Description
Naproxen sodium relieves pain, reduces inflammation and reduces fever. It has a quick and long lasting effect.
Aleve indications should be used for: muscle pain, cross pains, low grade joint pain, menstrual pain, headache, teeth and fever and cold.
Aleve contraindications should not be used by persons who:
- have previously been allergic to Aleve or other substances containing naproxen or naproxen sodium.
- who are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid and other anti-inflammatory agents or analgesics
- patients with gastric or duodenal ulcer
Dosage:
Take the medicine orally with water.
Adults: 1 tablet every 8 to 12 hours until the symptoms disappear.
In order to achieve better results, 2 tablets can be used initially, followed by 12 hours 1 tablet.
Do not take more than 3 tablets a day unless clearly instructed by your doctor.
Elderly (age 65): no more than 2 tablets per day unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
