  • KREON Travix medicament is responsible for contributing to the digestion of food, in particular for pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, which does not produce adequate quantities of digestive enzymes.

Composition KREON Travix :
The active substance is 150 mg pancreatin activity 10 000 j. Ph.Eur.lipase; 8 000 j. Ph.Eur. amylase; 600 j. Ph.Eur. proteases. The other ingredients are: macrogol 4000, hypromellose phthalate, dimethicone 1000 cetyl alcohol, triethyl citrate. Composition of a gelatin capsule, gelatin, anhydrous iron (III) oxide (E 172), hydrated iron (III) oxide (E 172), iron (II, III) oxide (E 172) Titanium dioxide (E171), sodium lauryl sulfate.

KREON Travix Action:
The product KREON Travix contains pancreatin extracted from the pancreas of a pig, which is resistant to stomach acid. It has lipase activity, contributing to spreading fats, amylase involved in the digestion of proteins and carbohydrates, and protease severing the connection polypeptides. KREON Travix preferably acts on the condition of patients with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency associated with inadequate digestive enzymes.

Indications KREON Travix :
The product KREON Travix is intended for use with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, which accompanies such diseases as cystic fibrosis, Shwachman-Diamond syndrome, long-term inflammation of the pancreas, resection of the pancreas, a narrowing of the pancreatic duct or the common bile duct, anastomosis gastro-intestinal and gastric resection .

KREON Travix  How to use:
Apply orally. Use ½ or 1/3 of the total dose at the start of eating, and the remaining part during the meal. The capsules swallowed intact, without chewing them, and not chewed, with sufficient liquid. With cystic fibrosis of the pancreas is recommended to use a dose of 1000 J. Lipase / kg mc./posiłek in children less than 4 years and 500 j. Lipase / kg mc./posiłek in children older than 4 years. When other conditions apply individual dosage.
