Composition Lactulosum Hasco 2,5g / 5ml syrup:

The active substance of the drug: liquid lactulose. 5ml of syrup contains 2.5g of liquid lactulose and other ingredients: orange flavor 240.016, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.

Action Lactulosum Hasco 2.5g / 5ml syrup:

Lactulosum Hasco 2.5 g / 5ml is syrup for constipation and treatment and prevention of hepatic encephalopathy. The liquid lactulose contained in the drug is a synthetic disaccharide, which is slightly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. In the colon, lactulose is broken down into lactic, formic and acetic acid, as well as carbon dioxide. The acids contribute to the reduction of pH in the colon (up to 5, 5, 5,5) and act locally osmotically, retaining water in the large intestine. The effect of this action is relaxation and increase of fecal mass, as well as stimulation of intestinal peristalsis. In the case of hepatic encephalopathy, lactulose reduces the toxicity of ammonia.

Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Use in pregnant women and nursing mothers should be discussed with a doctor. The drug contains galactose and lactose, therefore people with intolerance to some sugars should speak with the doctor the possibility of using the drug. 5ml of syrup corresponds to 0.21 bread units.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in cases of intestinal obstruction.

Dosage of Lactulosum Hasco syrup 2,5g / 5ml:

The drug should be used as directed by your doctor or as directed on the leaflet. Adults: starting dose - 45 ml of syrup per day (can be taken once before breakfast or three times a day for 15ml before meals), used for 3 days, then as a maintenance dose of 15ml of fasting syrup. Children over 3 years of age: initial dose - 5-15ml of syrup per day, then: the dose can be increased every 3 days until normalization of bowel movements. Children under 3 years of age: initial dose - 5ml of syrup per day, then: the dose can be increased every 3 days until normalization of bowel movements. Infants: initial dose - 2.5 ml of syrup per day, then: the dose can be increased every 3 days until normalization of bowel movements. Hepatic encephalopathy: adults - 120-180ml of syrup in 3-4 divided doses.
