The medicinal product Lactulosum Takeda 2.5 g / 5 ml is indicated primarily in the case of chronic constipation in children and adults, and also in encephalopathy in the course of hepatic failure. The active substance is lactulose.
Composition of Lactulosum Takeda 2.5g / 5ml:
Active substance: lactulose (Lactulosum). 5 ml of syrup contains 2.5 g of lactulose and auxiliary substances: liquid, non-crystallizing sorbitol; orange aroma, purified water.

Store the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against the effects of moisture and light. After opening, do not use for more than two months. The possibility of using the drug in pregnant women should be discussed with the doctor, and caution is advised. With long-term use of high doses in hepatic encephalopathy, monitoring of sodium and potassium levels in the serum is required. The drug contains sorbitol (8 mg in 5 ml of syrup). It is not recommended to use the drug in the case of rare hereditary problems of galactose or fructose intolerance, lactase deficiency (Lappa type) or malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in the case of intestinal obstruction. Do not use in case of increased levels of galactose in the blood (galactosemia). Do not use in case of lactose intolerance.
Side effects:

Dosage of Lactulosum Takeda syrup 2.5g / 5ml:
Use as directed by your doctor or according to the directions on the leaflet. Use orally, it is recommended to be taken after dilution in water or fruit juice. Adults: chronic constipation: initial dose of 20-40 ml of syrup daily in 1-2 doses. After obtaining the effect, the dose can be individually adjusted as needed; liver failure, pre-coma, hepatic coma: 120-240 ml of the syrup daily in 3-4 doses. The dosage is determined individually, but it should be adjusted every 1-2 days in such a way that the daily number of bowel movements is 2-3. Children: chronic constipation: 5-15 ml daily (1-3 teaspoons). Initially, in infants - 2.5 ml, in children up to 3 years of age - 5 ml, over 3 years of age - 15 ml, then the dose may be increased gradually every 3 days until normal bowel movements are obtained.
