Areas of application: For the symptomatic treatment of: gas-related gastrointestinal complaints (meteorism), e.g. B. Flatulence, flatulence pain, feeling of tension and increased gas formation after operations; functional complaints of the upper gastrointestinal tract (functional dyspepsia) such as bloating, pain / pressure in the upper abdomen, belching, nausea, premature satiety, nausea. To prepare for diagnostic examinations in the abdominal area to reduce gas shadows (sonography, X-ray).

Flatulence can mess up everyday life: The pain is distracting, appointments cannot be kept in the event of severe discomfort and it is not uncommon for unpleasant bowel noises to occur. This is due to excessive air build-up in the gastrointestinal tract - flatulent foods such as cabbage or carbonated drinks, but also illnesses (e.g. food intolerance) then promote the production of gases. If these, in turn, cannot escape, the intestine inflates.
This is exactly where Lefax ® extra chewable tablets come into play: With their well-tolerated active ingredient simeticon, they free air trapped in the intestine. This not only relieves the flatulence, but also other gas-related complaints such as
• feeling of tension or pressure in the abdomen,
• feeling of fullness,
• belching and
• nausea up to nausea.
Lefax ® extra chewable tablets are suitable for adults and adolescents from 15 years of age - and pregnant and breastfeeding women can also benefit from their effects thanks to their good tolerance. But how does the agent have to be dosed? If the doctor has made no other recommendation, you can take one or two chewable tablets three to four times a day for gas-related symptoms - with or after meals and, if necessary, before going to bed. To do this, chew each chewable tablet thoroughly and swallow it. You don't have to drink water afterwards; the application does not require any liquid.
The easy intake and the problem-free transport in the blister make the Lefax ® extra chewable tablets the perfect companion for on the go. People who are more often plagued by flatulence benefit from this in particular.
The duration of treatment with Lefax ®extra chewable tablets are based on the severity of the symptoms. In principle, the product is also suitable for long-term use - if the symptoms persist for an unusually long time or if it is unclear what is causing them, it is advisable to make an appointment with the doctor. If you forget to take the tablets, take the usual dose again next time (and not double). In connection with an accidental overdose, no adverse effects are known to date - Simeticon does not get into the blood, it only works in the intestine.
Already knew? Lefax ® extra chewable tablets can also be used in preparation for certain examination procedures that affect the abdomen (e.g. ultrasound or X-rays) .
Diabetics should note that one chewable tablet corresponds to 0.07 bread units.
The active ingredient of the Lefax ® extra chewable tablets
The simeticon (105 mg) contained in the Lefax ® extra chewable tablets is responsible. The active ingredient mixes with the food ingested in the stomach and unfolds its effect in the stomach and intestines: If there is increased air formation, simeticon frees the trapped air. The active ingredient works locally and is not absorbed into the bloodstream. In this way, simethicone relieves flatulence and other gas-related complaints.
