What is LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC ® and what is it for it applied?
LEVOCETIRIZINE ADGC ®is a drug for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis and hives in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age.

What is the active substance in levocetirizine?
Levocetirizine inhibits the reaction of the messenger histamine and thus prevents the usual allergy symptoms. Pharmacodynamic studies in healthy volunteers show that levocetirizine has an effect comparable to that of cetirizine at half the dose, both in the skin and in the nose.

How is LEVOCETIRIZINE ADGC ® used?
The recommended dose of LEVOCETIRIZINE ADGC ® is for adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of ageat 1 film-coated tablet daily. You take these whole, with water and independently of meals.
The dose should be adjusted in people with impaired kidney function.

How long will LEVOCETIRIZINE ADGC ® be used?
Do not take LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC ® for longer than 3 days without discussing this with your doctor. If your symptoms worsen or have not improved after 3 days, medical advice is required.

Who is LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC ® suitable for?
LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC ® is suitable for adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age.

If you have severe kidney problems or are allergic to levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine or any other ingredient in this medicine, you should not use LEVOCETIRIZINE ADGC ® . Also ask your doctor for advice before taking this medication if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are breastfeeding.

What are the side effects of LEVOCETIRIZINE ADGC ® ?
After taking LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC ® , dizziness/drowsiness, headache, dry mouth and tiredness can commonly (may affect up to 1 in 10 people). Fatigue and abdominal pain have been uncommonly observed (affecting up to 1 in 100 people).

LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC ® should be kept out of the reach of children. Otherwise, there are no further storage requirements for the medicinal product.

How long does LEVOCETIRIZINE ADGC ® last?
LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC ® has a shelf life of 3 years. However, do not use the medicine beyond the expiry date stated on the packaging.
