Loperamide hydrochloride AL akut
hard capsule
For acute diarrhea • With the proven active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride • Reduces water loss • Can reduce the frequency of defecation. Stops diarrhea

Diarrhea is a defense reaction of the body, not a disease. Diarrhea is a symptom that our normally functioning digestion is disturbed or changed. The reasons for this are different. Lactose or fructose intolerance, the consumption of food that has been spoiled by toxins or pathogens, and contaminated drinking water can cause diarrhea. Normally, our digestive system absorbs nutrients, fluids, and electrolytes from food into the body. The solid and indigestible components of food remain in the stool and are excreted. The sudden onset of diarrhea that lasts only a few days is mostly due to infections with pathogens. With severe diarrhea, the body loses large amounts of water and salts. There is a risk of dehydration.

With a proven active ingredient

The active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride binds directly to the receptors in the intestinal area. The increased intestinal movements, which accelerate the further transport of the intestinal contents, are slowed down by loperamide. This can reduce the frequency of defecation and stop diarrhea.

RECOMMENDED USE:
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, - adolescents from 12 years of age at the beginning of the treatment of acute diarrhea take 1 hard capsule. 1 more hard capsule after each unformed stool. The maximum daily dose of 4 hard capsules must not be exceeded.
- Adults starting treatment for acute diarrhea 2 hard capsules. 1 more hard capsule after each unformed stool. The maximum daily dose of 6 hard capsules must not be exceeded.
The hard capsules are swallowed whole with some liquid. Loperamide hydrochloride AL should not be taken acutely for longer than 2 days without medical advice. If the acute diarrhea persists after 2 days of treatment with Loperamide hydrochloride AL, the drug must be discontinued and a doctor must be consulted. Vacation time remains relaxation time

If the toilet suddenly becomes a central issue on vacation, it is not only extremely uncomfortable for those affected, but also stressful. A change in time and climate, unfamiliar, spicy or greasy food, contaminated drinking water, poor hygienic conditions can cause diarrhea on vacation. Loperamide hydrochloride can be the vacation saver. The diarrhea can be stopped quickly and nothing stands in the way of a relaxing holiday.

Observe protective measures

It is difficult to protect yourself from infection. However, there are a few things you can do to help. Spoiled food should be avoided. Caution also applies to food that has been stored unrefrigerated for a long time. Sick family members should wash their hands more often and change bed sheets regularly. It is advisable to disinfect dirty surfaces in the sanitary area and door handles. General hygiene measures are helpful.

Children and seniors

Children and the elderly are particularly susceptible to pathogens that cause diarrhea. Illnesses are particularly common in day-care centers, old people's homes and hospitals. Older people tend to drink little. Children often have to be encouraged to drink. These groups of people in particular can quickly become dehydrated if the body loses a lot of fluids and valuable electrolytes due to diarrhea.
