  • Iodine solution Lugol's solution, potassium iodide. Product for internal and external use. Aqueous Iodine solution Lugol's solution works well as a skin disinfectant. After dilution it can also be used for gargle or removal of tonsils.

Iodine solution Lugol's solution Composition:
1g of liquid contains: active substances iodine - 10mg, potassium iodide - 20mg.

Action:
Iodine water solution Lugol liquid effectively decontaminates minor skin wounds and abrasions. After additional dilution with water, it is recommended for gargle, and when mixed with glycerin, for tonsil brushing.

Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It must be protected from light. The product may interfere with thyroid function tests.

Contraindications:
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to any component of the fluid. Do not use in newborns and infants. Do not use in cases of hyperthyroidism, dermatitis herpetiformis (Duhring's disease), tuberculosis. Do not use with mercury compounds. Do not use in pregnant women and nursing mothers without prior consultation with a doctor.

Side potassium iodide effects:
Irritation of the nasopharyngeal mucosa or rash may occur in some people who are hypersensitive to iodine.

For external use: use undiluted liquid. For gargle: use a solution prepared from 10 drops of liquid and 200ml of water. To remove tonsils from the tonsils: use a solution prepared from 10 drops of liquid and 50 ml of glycerin. Oral use: only on the order of a doctor or sanitary services, dosage is determined by a doctor. The recommended dose should be dissolved in a glass of liquid (water, milk, juice) to minimize the risk of stomach irritation.
