Magnesium contains a combination of readily available magnesium compounds and offers a simple way to ensure an adequate magnesium supply to the organism.

Magnesium is very important for healthy bone and muscle development in the human body and

plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

In addition, as an electrolyte, it performs a variety of functions inside and outside every human cell.

MAGNESIUM CAPSULES 60 pieces

Magnesium is one of the so-called macroelements among the minerals. In the human organism, magnesium is necessary for a number of vital processes. It is an important structural element and is found primarily in the teeth and skeleton, where it influences their healthy development. As an electrolyte, it plays an important role in the normal function of muscles and the nervous system. As a co-factor of over 300 different enzymes, magnesium is important for a well-functioning energy metabolism and has an important function in cell division. Magnesium

also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the electrolyte balance inside and outside of human cells. It is important for normal protein synthesis and important psychological functions. Most magnesium is stored in the skeleton. If required, the mineral can be quickly released from the bones. Magnesium

is absorbed from food in the small intestine, with the absorption of magnesium being significantly improved by the presence of calcium. The magnesium level in the blood is very precisely regulated by hormones. The parathyroid hormone, which is produced in the parathyroid gland, promotes the absorption of magnesium from food.

Calcitonin is produced in the thyroid and is the counterpart to parathyroid hormone. Accordingly, it lowers the magnesium level in the blood and causes it to be stored in the bones. Vitamin D appears to have a positive effect on the absorption of magnesium.

Until now, it was assumed that a magnesium deficiency was rare. Since the symptoms of a deficiency are very diverse, they are often attributed to other causes. They range from poor performance, fatigue, migraine-like headaches and heart pain to abdominal and muscle cramps. The cause of a magnesium deficiency can be an unbalanced and magnesium-poor diet or increased physical strain, for example due to long-term diarrhea, pregnancy or competitive sports. Alcohol abuse, taking diuretics and certain metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus or hyperthyroidism lead to increased magnesium loss via the kidneys. Absorption disorders due to inflammatory bowel disease or short bowel syndrome can also cause a magnesium deficiency. Short-term deficits are compensated for by the magnesium stores in the skeleton if there is an adequate supply.

Whole grain products, brown rice, green vegetables, nuts and beans contain particularly high levels of magnesium. Smaller amounts are found in meat, fish, milk and dairy products. The bioavailability of various magnesium compounds is controversial. Organic magnesium compounds are readily available, but experts believe that inorganic magnesium can also be easily absorbed. In the small intestine, magnesium is always dissolved from its organic or inorganic compound and absorbed as a free cation throughout the entire intestinal area. Magnesium from different compounds therefore does not differ in terms of absorption rates.

Magnesium Mono contains the mineral in four different, easily absorbable compounds. It offers a simple way to achieve and maintain a balanced magnesium status in the body.
