MEZIM FORTE 10000 Indications:
Impaired exocrine function of the pancreas, accompanied by indigestion.
Dosage:
The dosage of Mezym forte 10000 is determined by the severity of the impaired pancreatic function.
The appropriate dosage is usually individual. Generally, 1-2 film-coated tablets are taken with food.
The dose can be significantly higher depending on the type of food and the severity of digestive disorders.
Especially in patients with cystic fibrosis, the dosage should not exceed the amount of enzymes needed to digest fat, given the amount and composition of food. A larger dose increase may be performed under medical supervision and is determined by the improvement in symptoms (eg steatorrhea and abdominal pain). The daily dose of 15000-20000 U / kg lipase should not be exceeded.
The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole.
Take with plenty of fluids.
The duration of treatment is unlimited and depends on the complaints.
Contraindications:
Acute pancreatitis and exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis during the active phase of the disease.
However, it is sometimes appropriate to use the drug in the recovery phase with a diet when there are still residual or persistent signs of insufficiency.

Pregnancy and lactation
There are no restrictions on the use of Mezym forte 10000 in pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects
Adverse drug reactions or complications are unlikely to occur even with long-term and regular use of Mezym forte 10000 in pancreatic dysfunction. In isolated cases, rapid-type allergic reactions as well as digestive hypersensitivity reactions have been reported following administration of pancreatin. In isolated cases in patients with cystic fibrosis, after administration of high doses of pancreatin, strictures in the ileocecal area and ascending colon have been reported.
