Miconazole acis ® zinc paste
Diaper rash and diaper candidiasis
A sore bottom or a skin rash probably occurs to every child in diapers. The sensitive surface of the skin becomes irritated due to rubbing of the diaper or waterlogging because the diaper was not changed often enough. If the skin is inflamed, it is called diaper rash.
A sore skin surface combined with the moist, warm and occluding environment of a diaper poses the risk of a fungal infection on the bottom and genital area - not only for babies, but also for incontinent adults. Skin that is already irritated or damaged is easily susceptible to germs that are excreted in the urine or stool, which can settle on the sore skin areas and lead to diaper candidiasis.
Miconazol acis ® zinc paste is used to treat severe forms of diaper rash in which proven colonization with yeast fungi (Candida spp.) is the main focus.
• for use in infants, children and adults
• has a fungistatic and fungicidal effect against various pathogens of skin mycoses
• has a wide spectrum of action
• is well tolerated
• zinc oxide contributes to the absorption of moisture
