Composition of Microlax 5ml rectal solution:

Active substances: liquid sorbitol, sodium citrate, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate. 5ml of rectal solution contains: liquid (crystallizing) sorbitol - 4.4650g, sodium citrate - 0.4500g, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate 70% - 0.0645g and other ingredients: sorbic acid, glycerol, purified water

Action Microlax 5ml rectal solution:

Microlax rectal solution 5ml is classified as a laxative. The sodium citrate contained in the drug has a softening effect, penetrates deep into the stool and releases bound water. Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate contributes to the reduction of surface tension, moisturizes and prevents mass build-up. Liquid sorbitol is an osmotic substance. It helps to keep in the rectum the amount of water that is needed to soften feces and remove it.

Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. It should not be used simultaneously with other rectal medicines. It is not recommended to use the drug in case of inflammation of the varicose veins of the anus, anal fissure, proctitis and colitis associated with bleeding. The drug should not be used for a long time. Pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding should consult a doctor before taking the drug.

Contraindications to the use of Microlax rectal solution:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use for abdominal pain of unknown cause. Do not use when using a cation exchange resin based on calcium or sodium polystyrene sulfonate (oral or rectal).

Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects when using this medicine. Not known: abdominal pain, perianal discomfort, loose stools, hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. urticaria).

Dosage of Microlax rectal solution 5ml:

Use as directed by your doctor or instructions on the leaflet. Recommended daily dose: one tube. Rectal use. There is no need to administer the medicine or wait for the medicine to lie down. Insert the tip of the applicator into the rectum, squeeze the contents of the container. Extend the applicator by constantly pressing the tube. Usually, the drug starts working within 5-20 minutes. In the supine position, the duration of action can be extended to up to an hour. Do not use the medicine for more than a few days without consulting your doctor first.
