Mucopect Kids syrup is a medicinal product indicated in children from 6 years of age for the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases in the course of which there is excessive production of thick, sticky secretions. The active substance is carbocysteine.

Composition of Mucopect Kids carbocysteine syrup:

Active substance: carbocysteine ​​(Carbocisteinum). 1 ml of syrup contains 50 mg of carbocysteine ​​and excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), caramel (E 150d), sucrose, gooseberry flavor "Aroma grosella 63 2334" [propylene glycol, ethyl formate, isopentyl acetate, 4- (4-hydroxyphenyl) butane -2-one, 3-methylbutan-1-ol, carbolistus (Barosma betulin) extract, acetic acid, 4- (2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-1-ene-1-yl) -but-3-ene- 2-one], sodium hydroxide and purified water.

Action of Mucopect Kids carbocysteine syrup:

Carbocysteine ​​is the active ingredient in Mucopect Kids syrup. It is a mucolytic drug for use in the treatment of diseases with an overproduction of mucus in the bronchi. Carbocysteine ​​reduces the viscosity of mucus, which makes it easier to remove it from the respiratory tract when you cough. The indication for the use of Mucopect Kids is the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases in the course of which an excessive amount of thick, viscous secretion is produced.

Application:
Mucopect Kids syrup indicated for use in the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases, which are associated with excessive production of thick and sticky secretions. For use in children over 6 years of age and adults.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting treatment with this medicine in the following cases: you have a history of peptic ulcer disease, you have acute respiratory failure, you are weak. The weakening of the cough reflex is associated with the risk of airway obstruction due to increased secretions. Mucolytic drugs can damage the gastric mucosa, therefore patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease should use them with caution. If profuse purulent discharge and fever appear, chronic bronchial or lung disease develops, as well as in patients with reduced coughing capacity. you need to see a doctor who may recommend other medications. Treatment of patients with bronchial asthma should be under the supervision of a physician, as there is a risk of bronchospasm - if bronchospasm occurs, the administration of the drug should be discontinued immediately. Use in children: do not use in children under 6 years of age. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a doctor, but it is not recommended for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. Carbocysteine ​​should not be used concomitantly with antitussive drugs and secretion-reducing drugs. The drug has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines. The drug contains sucrose - 577.5 mg in 1 ml (15 ml contains 8.7 g of sucrose). The drug may be harmful to the teeth, people with intolerance to certain sugars should consult the possibility of using the drug. The sucrose content should be taken into account in people with diabetes. The drug contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) - a component that may cause allergic reactions (possible late-type reactions).

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in the case of gastric and / or duodenal ulcers.

Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. If you experience symptoms such as an allergic reaction, Stevens-Johnson syndrome (bleeding wounds or blisters, including those around the lips, eyes, mouth, nose and genitals, and flu-like symptoms and fever), blood in vomiting or stools, stop taking use the drug and immediately consult a doctor or go to a hospital. Rare: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Very rare: gastrointestinal bleeding, gastric disturbances, abdominal pain, allergic reactions (skin rash, itching, urticaria). Not known: headache, isolated cases of bullous dermatitis such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, stomatitis and rhinitis may occur in hypersensitive patients.

Dosage of Mucopect Kids carbocysteine syrup:

Use the drug as directed by your doctor or as indicated on the leaflet. Measure the syrup using the measuring cup attached to the package (measuring cup with a volume of 5 ml with a scale: 1.25 ml, 2.5 ml, 3.75 ml, 5 ml). Recommended dosage: adults and adolescents over 12 years of age - usually 15 ml three times a day, then after alleviating symptoms, the dose should be reduced to 10 ml three times a day. Recommended dosage: children from 6 to 12 years of age - usually 5 ml three times a day. Close the bottle tightly after use. Do not use at bedtime, the last dose is recommended to be taken no later than 4 hours before bedtime. Do not use for more than 4-5 days without consulting a doctor. If there is no improvement or deterioration after 4-5 days of treatment, consult your doctor. Fluid intake should be increased during treatment.
