Does Nizoral help with folliculitus? Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo contains ketoconazole, an antifungal that targets an increased number of yeasts on the skin called Malassezia. Although bacterial folliculitis is caused by a bacteria called staphylococcus aureus, so please do not use Nizoral in this instance.

Nizoral 2% cream
Active substance: ketoconazole. Areas of application: fungal infections of the skin (dermatomycoses) such as fungal lichen (e.g. athlete's foot, lower leg fungus) and skin fungus caused by microsporia as well as infections caused by yeast fungi (thrush). For adults. Warning: Contains Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol.
