Orofar Total Action x 24 lozenges
The drug in the form of lozenges with orange flavor, has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and analgesic effect. The active substances of Orofar Total Action are benzoxonium chloride and lidocaine hydrochloride.
Composition of Orofar Total Action:
Active substances: benzoxonium chloride and lidocaine hydrochloride. One tablet contains 1mg benzoxonium chloride and 1mg lidocaine hydrochloride and other ingredients: sorbitol, microcrystalline cellulose, macrogol 6000, corn starch, sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, citric acid monohydrate, orange flavor, magnesium stearate.
Orofar Total Action action:
The two active substances used in Orofar Total Action are antiseptic benzoxonium chloride and local anesthetic lidocaine hydrochloride. The drug is analgesic, as well as antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal, it means that it fights the causes of infections of the throat and mouth. The preparation can be used to relieve a sore throat in the course of a cold, pharyngitis and laryngitis, and as an auxiliary in the treatment of tonsillitis.
Application:
Orofar Total Action indicated for the treatment of throat and oral infections (gingivitis, infections and sores of the oral mucosa - aphthae). For use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Additional information:
The product should be stored out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. The drug contains sorbitol - this should be taken into account in people who have an intolerance to some sugars. The possibility of using the drug in women during pregnancy and lactation should consult a doctor. Because of the risk of aspiration, people over the age of 60 should be especially careful when using this medicine. Consultation with a doctor is recommended if the sore throat is accompanied by high fever and there is great difficulty swallowing. Caution is also recommended when sores or lesions occur in the mouth or throat mucosa.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, other quaternary ammonium salts and other local anesthetic amide drugs. Do not use on children under 6 years of age.
Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking this medicine. If the following symptoms occur, stop using the medicine immediately and consult a doctor: signs of an allergic reaction - difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, severe itching of the skin with red rash and blisters (these are rare). Other side effects: Common - irritation or tingling in the mouth or throat.
Dosage of Orofar Total Action lozenges:
Use according to the doctor's instructions or as directed on the leaflet. Do not chew or swallow. Do not use immediately before a meal, as well as while eating or drinking. Because lidocaine can cause a temporary feeling of numbness in the mouth and throat, and also cause swallowing difficulties, you should refrain from eating and drinking until it goes away. It is recommended to suck slowly one tablet every 2-3 hours, in case of severe infection, the frequency of application to one tablet every 1-2 hours can be increased. Aft treatment: suck the tablet slowly, keeping it close to the lesion. The maximum daily dose: 10 tablets. The maximum daily dose for children over 6 years of age: 6 tablets. Do not exceed recommended daily doses.
