Standardized manufacturing process
Special equipment is used to generate gaseous ozone from oxygen using electricity, which is then introduced into olive oil. Olive oil contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids. These are oxidized by the ozone and transformed into other substances. After this process, the ozonated olive oil no longer contains ozone; instead, the substances newly formed by the ozone take over the oxidizing properties of ozone. This is the property utilized in the application of ozonated olive oil.
Special properties of ozonated olive oil (organic Demeter quality)
The resulting peroxides, ozonides, as well as carponic and pelargonic acids, possess special properties that can be utilized externally. Unlike, for example, ozone in water, the substances produced in ozonated olive oil are very stable. The unstable properties of ozone are preserved in the olive oil. Furthermore, the rich, oily olive oil can readily penetrate the skin, thus transporting the substances into deeper layers of the skin and tissue.
Shelf life:
The peroxides, ozonides, and other substances produced during ozonation, which are crucial for the properties of ozonated olive oil, can remain stable for years. The product is labeled as having no expiration date.
