The other ingredients are:
potato starch, povidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, ethylcellulose, magnesium stearate, orange flavor.
It is recommended to use the preparation for ascariasis, which is caused by Ascaris lumbricoides and enterobias caused by Enterobius vermicularis. Also indicated at the invasion hookworms of the duodenum Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus.
The drug is in the form of tablets intended for oral use. It belongs to the group of antiparasitic preparations. Its action includes roundworms within the gastrointestinal tract. He is responsible for the parasitic muscles' paralysis by stimulation of nicotinic receptors, he also retains choline esterase. As a result of suppression of neuromuscular transmission of parasites, they are paralyzed. As a result, it is easier to remove parasites from the gastrointestinal tract without taking additional laxatives. The action of the active substance includes adult parasites and parasites at an early stage of development. However, it does not concern larvae during their migration in tissues. Pyrantel has antiparasitic properties against: Ascaris lumbricoides, Ancylostoma duodenale, Enterobius vermicularis, Necator americanus,

In the case of invasions caused by Enterobius vermicularis, Ancylostoma duodenale, Ascaris lumbricoides and Necator americanus: in adults. above 75 kg, use 4 tables (1000 mg); in adults. not exceeding 75 kg: 3 tablets (750 mg); in children over 12 years, use 3 tables. (750 mg); children 6-12 years give 2 tabl. (500 mg); children 2-6 years give 1 tabl. (250 mg). In the case of ascariasis and enterobiasis (also in invasions mixed with these parasites) the dose intended for the whole treatment (10 mg / kg) is recommended once. In hookworms, the daily dose (10 mg / kg) is administered for 3 consecutive days. In massive invasions, the Necator americanus hookworm is used at a dose of 20 mg / kg. during 2 days.
