In East Asia, the Reishi is traditionally highly valued for strengthening general well-being and vitality.

Hardly any other mushroom is so revered in East Asia as the Reishi. In the 2,000 year old Chinese work “Shen Long Ben Tsao” referred to as “mushroom of long life” or “herb of spiritual power” and even classified as more valuable than ginseng. Reishi is used in many ways in Asia. It is traditionally considered a tonic or, as we say today, a natural "anti-aging agent". In the meantime it has been proven how extremely rich it is in a multitude of valuable ingredients.

The Reishi belongs to the family of the Lackporlings related. Due to its positive effect on human well-being, the Reishi has also shaped the art and culture of Far Eastern civilizations. The appearance of the fungus is considered a good omen.

The Reishi fruit body of the Reishi has a firm consistency. The top of the fruiting body has a reddish brown, shiny and smooth surface. This is where the German name Glänzender Lackporling comes from.

In order to preserve the full range of all ingredients and make them available to our customers, we also collect the valuable spores from this mushroom. These are painstakingly hand-brushed from the fruit bodies by our employees and then mixed with the whole mushroom after the drying process. This ensures that the tiny spores are not lost during the drying process.

We grow the Reishi on a wooden substrate specially made for this mushroom. It is important that the substrate mixture, especially the wood components, are prepared in such a way that the Reishi can penetrate it and then form its impressive fruiting bodies. Particular attention should be paid to the correct setting of the air humidity. Smaller mistakes can lead to the harvest being badly affected or even failing completely.

Shiny Lackporling (Ganoderma lucidum) powder *, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) capsules
* from controlled organic cultivation.

The cultivation and processing into mushroom powder capsules takes place entirely and exclusively in our company in Limeshain, Germany. The ripe, freshly harvested mushroom is dried immediately after harvest in our special, gentle drying process, gently ground to powder with a water-cooled mill and filled into HPMC capsules. There is no intermediate storage (e.g. in a cold store). Through the immediate, fast and gentle processing, we guarantee that all important ingredients are retained and that the fungus does not lose its natural, useful properties for human nutrition. Millet may be included.
