Remifemin tablets is an herbal product for relieving menopausal complaints.
Remifemin tablets are used to relieve menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, spontaneous sweating, sleep disorders, nervousness and depression.

2.1. Do not take Remifemin tablets

  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to cumin, rhizome or any of the other ingredients of Remifemin tablets (see section 6 for further information).

2.2. Take special care with Remifemin tablets

  • It is necessary to consult a doctor when using Remifemin tablets in patients with liver disease;
  • If signs and symptoms suggestive of liver damage occur (fatigue, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and eyes or sharp pain in the upper stomach with nausea and vomiting or dark urine ), you should stop taking it immediately. of Remifemin tablets and consult your doctor;
  • If vaginal bleeding or other symptoms occur, you should consult your doctor immediately;
  • Concomitant use of estrogen can only be done under medical supervision;
  • If you have been treated or are being treated for breast cancer or other hormone-dependent tumors. In this case, you should consult a doctor before starting treatment with Remifemin tablets;
  • If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 8 weeks of treatment, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.

2.3. Using other medicines
There are no known interactions so far, however, please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

2.4. Pregnancy and breast-feeding
There are insufficient studies on the use of the medicine during pregnancy and breast-feeding, so it should not be taken by pregnant or breast-feeding women.

2.5. Driving and using machines
Remifemin does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.

2.6. Important information about some of the ingredients of Remifemin tablets
This medicine contains lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.

Always take Remifemin tablets exactly as described in this leaflet. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

3.1. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
Take 1 tablet twice a day (morning and evening), not chewed with a little liquid (do not suck). You can take the tablets with or without food.

3.2. Duration of administration:
Remifemin tablets do not take effect immediately. The first therapeutic effects appear after two weeks of administration. As therapeutic results are further improved with long-term use, Remifemin tablets should be taken for a longer period of time, but not more than 6 months without medical advice.

3.3. If you take more Remifemin tablets
than you should No intoxication with Remifemin tablets has been reported so far. If you have inadvertently taken a large amount of Remifemin tablets, then you should seek medical advice immediately.

3.4. If you forget to take Remifemin tablets

Like all medicines, Remifemin tablets can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Evaluation of adverse reactions is based on the following frequency percentages:

  • Very common: (> 1/10);
  • Common: (> 1/100 to <1/10);
  • Uncommon: (> 1 / 1,000 to <1/100);
  • Rare: (> 1 / 10,000 to <1 / 1,000);
  • Very rare: (<1 / 10,000);
  • Not known: (cannot be estimated from the available data).

Possible side effects:
Rare gastrointestinal disorders (dyspepsia, diarrhea), allergic skin reactions (urticaria, pruritus, skin rash), facial edema and peripheral edema, weight gain. Cases of hepatic impairment (including hepatitis, jaundice, hepatic impairment) have been observed with the use of medicinal products containing cimicifuge. The frequency is unknown.
In these cases, you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor.

Keep out of reach of children!
Do not use Remifemin tablets after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

What Remifemin tablets contain?
The active substance
is Cluster cimicifuga, rhizome - 20 mg (as Cluster cimicifuga, liquid rhizome extract 0.78 - 1.14: 1).

The other ingredients are:
Celactose (cellulose and lactose monohydrate), potato starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, peppermint, oil.
