What is rose hip powder?
Rose hips are the pseudofruit of the dog rose (Rosa canina). They are among the fruits richest in vitamins and contain, among other things, vitamin C, polyphenols, carotenoids and tannins and have antioxidant, slightly tanning and health-promoting properties. For this reason, it has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. As a tea, the rosehip is a popular luxury food and is contained in many fruit and cold teas. It is also popular in jams and other foods.

The rosehip is also still used as an "itching powder" in pranks for adolescents. The itching is caused by the tiny hairs on the inside of the nuts with their tiny barbs. Rosehip powder has proven to be the most effective in application and effectiveness.

It is made from the dried pseudopods, using both the shell and the nuts inside – only the irritating hairs are removed. During the entire manufacturing process, the temperature does not exceed 40°C, otherwise valuable ingredients are lost.

The rosehip supports and strengthens the immune system. Various studies have also shown that specially prepared rosehip powder has a positive effect on the joints.

How do I use rosehip powder?
Rosehip powder is taken orally. Since it does not dissolve in water or other drinkable liquids, it is recommended to stir the powder into foods such as yoghurt, muesli, fruit sauces such as applesauce and then eat it. The powder then has a rather "earthy" but pleasant taste. Stirring into fruit sauces such as apple sauce is particularly popular. A teaspoon, for example, to at least 3 tablespoons of applesauce tastes great.
