Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal eyesight. As a component of the visual pigment rhodopsin, it helps the eye to react quickly to changing light conditions. During this light-dark adaptation, vitamin A is consumed in the eye and must therefore be taken regularly.
Vitamin A is sensibly supported by zinc, which contributes to normal vitamin A metabolism. For the general health of the eyes, the Augenwohl capsules contain lutein, zeaxanthin and blueberry extract. The carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin are located in the center of the retina, the so-called "yellow spot". This area is largely responsible for sharp vision.
