Smell training with essential oils

When diagnosing an olfactory disorder, recent studies have shown that smell training can support the recovery process. At the direction of the otolaryngologist, smell training can be part of the treatment plan. The smell training is based on the research of Professor Thomas Hummel from the University of Dresden. This workout consists of intensively smelling 4 different odors twice a day. You can do this workout with 4 essential oils. The sense of smell can be trained with this smell training set.

Practical information

• Once opened, the set has a shelf life of three months. If you want a training set with a longer shelf life, we recommend using the Sniffin Sticks (Scent Quartet).
• A bottle contains 1.5 ml of oil.
• The sets are delivered including a German manual.
• Additional info: An (odorless) diluent has been added to the oil in the Rose and Jasmine bottle, namely isopropyl palmitate. This is because Rose and Jasmine would make the scent training set unnecessarily expensive. However, this diluent will solidify/crystallize if it gets too cold (e.g. if you keep the bottle in the fridge. Once the oil has returned to room temperature, it will become liquid again. All this has no effect on the smell quality.)
