  • The medicine is a herbal hemorrhoid remedy and is used
    • to relieve itching, weeping and burning in the early stages of hemorrhoids and inflammation of the mucous membranes in the anal area.

  • Always use this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose is
    • The suppositories are usually used twice a day. In the case of more severe symptoms, the suppositories can also be used 3 times a day at times.

 

  • duration of use
    • The duration of treatment depends on the nature and severity of the course of the disease and is usually determined by the doctor. In principle, the suppositories can be used until the symptoms subside or for a few days longer. Self-treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed a period of 4 weeks.

 

  • If you use more than you should
    • No overdoses are known when the suppositories are used as directed.
    • If the suppositories, e.g. B. by children, no serious symptoms of poisoning are to be expected. However, symptoms such as abdominal pain and nausea can occur.
    • If you have accidentally used the suppository one or more times more often than intended, no undesirable effects are to be expected. In this case, reduce the application to the intended dosage and otherwise stick to the treatment plan.

  • The suppositories are inserted deep into the anus in the morning and evening, if possible after defecation.
  • A notice:
    • Since the use of creams, ointments and suppositories in the anal area can lead to soiling of the laundry, an anal pad is recommended as a protection against laundry.

    • Allergic reactions to medicines containing witch hazel may occur very rarely when applied topically.
  • What countermeasures should be taken in the event of side effects?
    • If there are indications of allergies, e.g. B. reddening of the skin associated with itching, please stop using it and inform your doctor about the side effects that have occurred so that he can treat them specifically if necessary.
  • Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if any of the listed side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects that are not listed.

  • Use together with other medicines
    • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
    • There are no known interactions with other drugs.

Contraindications

  • The drug must not be used
    • if you are allergic to witch hazel or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

pregnancy and breast feeding period

  • There is no experience with the use of this medicine during pregnancy and lactation. Due to the tannin content, it should only be used after consulting a doctor. The duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks.

  • Warnings and Precautions
    • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the suppositories.
    • You should consult a doctor if symptoms begin acutely, if there is no improvement within seven days, if you have advanced haemorrhoids or other palpable external changes. In particular, blood in the stool or bleeding from the rectum area requires clarification by the doctor.
    • In the case of fungal infestation, the additional use of a locally effective agent against fungal infections is required.
    • Treatment with these suppositories and the simultaneous use of latex condoms can lead to a reduction in tear strength due to the auxiliary substance, microcrystalline hydrocarbons, and thus to an impairment of the safety of such condoms.

 

  • Ability to drive and use machines
    • No effects on the ability to drive and/or use machines are expected.
