- The specific smell of tansy has a repellent effect on insects. Ticks are particularly sensitive to tansy oil. Diluted (eg in grape seed oil) tansy essential oil acts as a repellent, it can be applied to the skin.

Tanacetum Vulgare Oil.
Operation tansy oil:
The tansy essential oil has a characteristic smell reminiscent of camphor. It has a repellent effect on ticks, mosquitoes, flies and flies.
