Tantum Flu is a medicinal product indicated for the relief of symptoms of flu and colds. It owes its comprehensive action to the active substances contained in its composition - paracetamol and phenylephrine hydrochloride.
Composition of Tantum Flu orange flavor:
Active substances: paracetamol and phenylephrine hydrochloride. One sachet contains 600 mg of paracetamol and 10 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride (corresponding to 8.2 mg of phenylephrine). The other ingredients are: sucrose, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, ascorbic acid, colloidal anhydrous silica, red orange flavor, curcumin powder 5% P-WD (curcumin E 100 + dried glucose syrup).
Operation of Tantum Flu orange flavor:
The drug contains paracetamol, an active substance with analgesic and antipyretic properties. Additionally, phenylephrine hydrochloride was used in Tantum Flu. It constricts the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, making it easier to breathe. At the same time, it reduces swelling of the nasal passages and reduces pressure in the nasal sinuses, i.e. it eliminates the symptoms that cause headaches. The medicine is presented as a powder for making an orange-flavored drink.
Application:
The medicinal product Tantum Flu orange flavor indicated for use in the treatment of cold and flu symptoms (including pain, swelling and congestion of the nasal mucosa and fever). A drug for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Additional information:
Keep the product out of the reach of children, at room temperature. The drug contains glucose and sucrose (2g in one sachet) - consult your doctor about the possibility of using the drug in people with diagnosed intolerance to certain sugars, be careful in the case of people suffering from diabetes and sodium (135.8 mg in one sachet) - be careful in people with impaired kidney function and in people who are on a diet low in sodium. Do not drink alcohol while taking the drug.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in case of severe heart disease, high blood pressure (hypertension), hyperthyroidism. Do not use in the case of using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the last 14 days. Do not use in the case of using other drugs that reduce congestion of the nasal mucosa and eyes (sympathomimetics). It is not recommended to use during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use under the age of 12.
Side effects:
Side effects may occur while taking the drug: hypersensitivity or allergic reactions (e.g. skin rash), changes in the blood (thrombocytopenia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, leukopenia, neutropenia), high blood pressure accompanied by headache, palpitations, vomiting, acute inflammation of the pancreas (at higher doses), difficulty passing urine (in men). There have also been reports of severe skin reactions.
Dosage of Tantum Flu sachets orange flavor:
Use as directed by your doctor or in accordance with the guidelines on the leaflet. The recommended dose for adolescents over 12 years of age and for adults is one sachet every 4-6 hours. The maximum daily dose: 4 sachets. It is recommended to dissolve the contents of the sachet in 150 ml of water (cold or hot), if necessary, you can sweeten it to taste. Do not use for more than 5 days. If your symptoms persist or worsen after three days of taking the medicine, consult your doctor.
