TEVA Levofree 60mg Cough Suppressant Tablets 20 Count
Levofree contains the active ingredient levodropropizinum, a cough suppressant belonging to the non‑opioid class. Each coated tablet delivers 60 mg of levodropropizinum. The tablet core comprises mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch, anhydrous colloidal silica and magnesium stearate, while the coating includes polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, macrogol 3350 and talc. Recommended dosage for adults and adolescents over 12 years is one tablet three times daily with at least six hours between doses. Not suitable for children under 12 years, patients with hypersensitivity to any component, productive cough, severe liver disorders, or pregnant and nursing women.

The active substance is levodropropizin. Each film-coated tablet contains 60 mg of levodropropizin. The other ingredients are: Tablet core: mannitol (E421), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), sodium starch glycolate (type A), colloidal anhydrous silica (E551), magnesium stearate (E470b). Film-coating: polyvinyl alcohol (E1203), titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 3350 (E1521), talc (E553b).
Dosage:
Adults and adolescents 12 years of age and over: 1 film-coated tablet three times a day, leaving at least 6 hours between doses.
Use in children Due to the strength of the active substance and the recommended dosage, Levofree 60 mg film-coated tablets are not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Other strengths/pharmaceutical forms are available for children under 12 years of age.
Contraindications:
Do not use:
- if you are allergic to levodropropizine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- if you have a productive cough (cough with mucus - phlegm)
- if you have certain respiratory disorders characterized by a reduced ability to excrete mucus (Kartagener syndrome, ciliary dyskinesia)
- if you have severe liver problems
- if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
