  • Venotrex is used in disorders of venous, varicose veins and lymphatic circulation, especially in the lower limbs (varicose veins, precancerous conditions, edema and dermatitis accompanying varicose veins, thrombophlebitis), varicose veins.

Composition:
1 capsule contains 200 mg or 300 mg troxerutin (o- ( b -hydroxyethyl) -rutosides).

Action:
Protects capillaries, restores their elasticity and reduces plasma permeability. It has anti-aggregation properties in relation to platelets and red blood cells, increases the red blood cells' ability to deform, which improves tissue perfusion. After oral administration, the maximum concentration in the blood reaches after 1-9 h. T 0.5 is 10-18 h. It is excreted in the urine and bile.

Indications:
Disorders of venous and lymphatic circulation, especially in the lower limbs (varicose veins, precancerous conditions, edema and dermatitis accompanying varicose veins, thrombophlebitis), varicose veins.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the drug. There are no data on possible adverse effects on the fetus and the breast-fed infant (category B according to FDA).

Undesirable effects:
Very rare (0.5%): gastrointestinal disorder, paroxysmal redness, headache or urticaria, which only affects hypersensitive individuals.

Dosing:
Oral: 2 capsules 200 mg 3 times a day for 7-10 days or 1 capsule 300 mg 4 times a day for 6-8 days. For maintenance treatment, usually 20-30 days - 2 capsules 200 mg 2 times a day or 1 capsule 300 mg three times a day. It is beneficial to take the drug during a meal. The capsule should be swallowed whole while eating.
