Composition of Vigalex Bio 1000:
Active substance: cholecalciferol (Cholecalciferolum). One tablet contains 10 mg of cholecalciferol powder, which corresponds to 0.025 mg (1000IU) of cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (type 102), calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, pregelatinized starch, corn starch, crospovidone (type A), sucrose, magnesium stearate, sodium ascorbate, medium chain saturated fatty acid triglycerides, colloidal anhydrous silica, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol.

Store the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against the effects of moisture and light. You should take the drug under the supervision of a doctor in case of: using other products with vitamin D (additional doses of vitamin D may be taken only under the supervision of a doctor) sarcoidosis; renal dysfunction; the use of cardiac glycosides or diuretics; children under the age of 6; long-term use of vitamin D (over 3 months) (it is then necessary to monitor the concentration of calcium in the serum and urine, and to check the kidney function). Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult your doctor, it is recommended to set the appropriate dose (usually 2000IU per day). The drug contains sucrose - in the case of known intolerance to some sugars, consult a doctor before taking the drug. This medicine contains less than 1mmol (23mg) of sodium in the recommended dosage unit - it is essentially 'sodium-free'.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in case of hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood) or hypercalciuria (excessive excretion of calcium in the urine). Do not use in the case of nephrolithiasis or severe renal failure. Do not use in the case of alleged hypoparathyroidism.
Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. Not known: gastrointestinal complaints (constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea); hypersensitivity reactions (itching, rash or hives). Hypercalcaemia (too much calcium in the blood) and hypercalciuria (excessive excretion of calcium in the urine) occur with prolonged use of high doses. Children and adolescents from 11 to 18 years of age with a healthy body weight - prevention of vitamin D deficiency: 1-2 tablets (1000-2000IU) per day; prevention of rickets and osteomalacia: 2 tablets (2000IU) daily. Adults with a healthy body weight - prevention of vitamin D deficiency: 1-2 tablets (1000-2000IU) a day; prevention of rickets and osteomalacia: 2 tablets (2000IU) daily; supportive treatment of osteoporosis: 2-4 tablets (2000-4000IU) per day. Women planning pregnancy, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers: consult your doctor about the dosage. People with renal insufficiency: do not use without consulting a doctor. It is not recommended for use in children under 6 years of age.
