Vitamin D3 contained in the medicinal product is an ingredient that affects the regulation of calcium and phosphate metabolism in the body. It is responsible for increasing the absorption of phosphate and calcium in the gastrointestinal tract, as well as reabsorption of calcium in the kidneys and the concentration of calcium and phosphate in the blood. Cholecalciferol helps to facilitate bone mineralization as well as prevents calcium loss from the body.

Vigantoletten 1000 IU indicated for the prevention of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults; diseases with a confirmed risk of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults; vitamin D deficiency with absorption disorders in children and adults. The drug is indicated for the treatment of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults as well as supportive treatment of osteoporosis in adults.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, as well as to peanuts or soy. Do not use in the case of hypercalcaemia and / or hypercalcaemia, nephrolithiasis and / or severe renal failure. Do not use in the case of alleged hypoparathyroidism.
