- The preparation is an ophthalmic (medicine used in the eye) with a decongestant effect. It contains the active substance tetryzoline hydrochloride.

- Always use this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Children from 2 years, teenagers and adults
- Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, 1 drop is instilled into the conjunctival sac 2 to 3 times a day. Remove contact lenses beforehand (see "Notes for contact lens wearers").

duration of use
- The preparation should only be used for mild irritation of the eyes. If there is no improvement within 48 hours, or if eye irritation or redness persists or worsens, stop using the product and consult a doctor.
- Do not use the preparation for more than 5 days without medical advice.
- Long-term use and overdose, especially in children, should be avoided.
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you use more than you should
- In the event of an overdose, inform your doctor immediately.
- When used in the eye, overdose symptoms are unlikely. Poisoning can occur as a result of significant overdose or accidental ingestion: The clinical picture of poisoning with the preparation can be confusing, since phases of stimulation can alternate with phases of suppression of the central nervous and cardiovascular systems.
- Symptoms of central nervous system stimulation include anxiety, agitation, delusional perception, and convulsions. Symptoms resulting from central nervous system inhibition are low body temperature, lethargy, drowsiness and coma.

The following additional symptoms may occur:
- widening or narrowing of the pupils,
- nausea, vomiting,
- increased salivation,
- blue discoloration of the skin,
- fever, sweating, paleness,
- irregular heartbeat, palpitations, heartbeat too fast or too slow, cardiac arrest,
- increase or shock-like decrease in blood pressure,
- accumulation of fluid in the lung tissue,
- Respiratory disorders, respiratory arrest.
- In children in particular, overdosing by ingestion often leads to central nervous effects with cramps and coma, slow heartbeat, respiratory arrest and an increase in blood pressure, which can be replaced by a drop in blood pressure.
- In case of poisoning, monitoring and therapy in the hospital is necessary.

- Do not apply a double dose to make up for a forgotten application.

- After unscrewing the cap, the bottle is held in the hand so that the opening points downwards. Close the bottle again after use.
- To avoid contamination, the tip of the container must not be touched or come into contact with other objects.

Use together with other medicines
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines.
- With the simultaneous use of MAO inhibitors of the tranylcypromine type and tricyclic antidepressants as well as drugs that increase blood pressure, an increase in blood pressure can occur due to the intensification of the vasoconstrictive effect. Simultaneous use should therefore be avoided if possible.
Contraindications

The medicine should not be used if you
- are allergic to tetryzoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- with glaucoma (narrow-angle glaucoma),
- in children under 2 years of age.

Warnings and Precautions
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the preparation.

You should only use the medicine on the advice of your doctor
- severe cardiovascular diseases (e.g. coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, pheochromocytoma),
- benign prostate enlargement,
- Metabolic disorders (e.g. hyperthyroidism, diabetes, disruption of the formation of the red blood pigment),
- dry nasal mucosa and conjunctivitis,
- Treatment with drugs that may increase blood pressure (e.g. MAO inhibitors).
- The preparation must not be used in angle-closure glaucoma. In other forms of glaucoma, the application may only be carried out with particular caution and under medical supervision.
- Long-term or too high a dose can lead to increased reddening of the eyes.

Eye irritation or reddening of the eyes are often a sign of serious eye diseases that need to be treated by an ophthalmologist.
The ophthalmologist should be consulted immediately if severe acute or unilateral reddening of the eyes, severe eye pain and headaches, deterioration in vision or visual disturbances (e.g. double vision or flying spots in front of the eyes) occur. -

Advice for contact lens wearers
- Contact lenses must not be worn with the present eye disease. If, in exceptional cases, the wearing of hard contact lenses is permitted by the ophthalmologist, take them out before applying the drops and only put them back in 15 minutes after the drops have been applied.

- Infants and children under 2 years of age should not be treated with this medicine.
- Long-term use and overdose, especially in children, should be avoided. The use in children and at higher doses may therefore only be carried out under medical supervision.

Ability to drive and use machines
- After using the eye drops, blurred vision and dilation of the pupils may occur in rare cases. In these cases, the ability to react in traffic or to use machines may be impaired.
