VITAMIN E HEVERT 200 IU soft capsules 100 pcs

Eliminates vitamin E deficiencies and protects body cells from excess free radicals

Vitamin E deficiency can be caused by destruction during cooking, strict, low-fat diets (e.g., for diabetics or overweight individuals), disruption of bile flow into the small intestine, or impaired absorption due to partial removal of the intestine (e.g., in Crohn's disease) or the use of certain medications.

Vitamin E can prevent the development of arteriosclerosis because it:

  • protects cholesterol from oxidation, i.e. from becoming rancid
  • prevents blood from clotting
  • has an anti-inflammatory effect, e.g. in rheumatic processes
  • protects our fat-rich brain from radicals

The following medications can inhibit the absorption of vitamin E into the body:

• Phenytoin (painkiller)
• Cholestyramine (lipid-lowering drug)
• Orlistat (inhibition of fat absorption)
• Isoniazid (for tuberculosis)
• Phenobarbital (for epilepsy)
• Carbamazepine (for epilepsy)

Signs of a vitamin E deficiency:

• Increased deposition of lipofuscin (age spots) in the skin and muscles
• Disturbances in nerve function •
Muscle weakness
• Shortening of the survival time of red blood cells
