Application:
- As a disinfectant: Lugol's solution is used, albeit much less frequently these days, as a disinfectant on undamaged skin surfaces, minor scratches and abrasions.
- As a stain remover: Particularly suitable for removing stubborn stains such as blood, wine or grass from clothing.
- For mold control in the bathroom: Iodine solutions can also be used for disinfection in the bathroom or other damp areas, effectively preventing mold spores, bacteria and viruses from growing in the long term.

85% water, 10% potassium iodide, 5% iodine (Made from potassium iodide (Ph. Eur.) and double-distilled water (Ph. Eur.)) Tested according to the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.)
