The medical device Xenna Balance Junior is intended for use in children over 6 months of age in the case of chronic constipation, as well as in the case of sporadic irregular bowel work. The preparation contains macrogol 3350.

Composition of Xenna Balance Junior:

One sachet contains 5 g of macrogol 3350 and excipients: silicon dioxide, flavor, sodium saccharin. It contains a sweetener.

How Xenna Balance Junior works:

Preparation with an osmotic laxative effect. The medical device Xenna Balance Junior helps to regulate the intestines in a natural way. Macrogol 3350 is responsible for its action, which has the ability to bind water, which softens the stool and thus facilitates defecation. The preparation does not cause sudden pressure, does not cause abdominal pain and does not cause cramps. Moreover, macrogol 3350 is not absorbed into the bloodstream, does not ferment in the intestine, does not irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa, is excreted in the faeces, its effectiveness does not decrease with prolonged use.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. The possibility of use in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be consulted with a doctor. While taking the preparation, you should follow a proper diet and use oral rehydration fluids (to reduce the risk of dehydration), talk to your doctor. It is recommended to keep at least two hours between taking Xenna Balance Junior and taking other orally administered preparations (e.g. medications, dietary supplements).

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, polyethylene glycol. Do not use in the case of intestinal narrowing, intestinal perforation, inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis). Do not use in the case of intestinal obstruction. Do not use in children under 6 months of age.

Side effects:
During the use of the preparation, gastrointestinal discomfort, rumbling in the abdomen, abdominal pain, nausea and slight diarrhea were sometimes observed (especially at the beginning of the treatment). Allergic reactions (rash or hives) have occurred rarely. If any side effects occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

How to use Xenna Balance Junior sachets:

It is recommended to consult a physician before giving the preparation to a child. The sachet (5 g) contains one dose of the preparation, open immediately before use. The contents of the sachet should be dissolved in 67.5 ml (about 1/4 glass) of still water. Prepare the solution immediately before use. The daily dose can be divided and administered in several portions throughout the day. In children from 6 months to 24 months of age (body weight up to 12 kg): use 1-2 sachets a day. In children from 2 to 11 years of age (body weight: 12-20 kg): use 2-4 sachets a day. In children and adolescents over 11 years of age (body weight over 20 kg): use 2-6 sachets a day. No dosage adjustment is necessary for people with renal insufficiency. Depending on the response to the treatment, the dose of the preparation may be reduced or increased after consulting a physician. The maximum daily number of sachets: 6.
