• The medicine is a tapeworm remedy and works locally through direct contact with the tapeworm head (Skolex). Niclosamide (the active ingredient) inhibits the parasite's internal breathing and the head and adjacent limbs die. As a result, the link chain loses its hold and goes with the defecation in whole or in smaller parts.

• Duration of application
  • Unless otherwise prescribed, the treatment of the beef, pork and fish tapeworm lasts 1 day, the treatment of the dwarf tapeworm lasts 7 days.
  • Do not take the medicine longer than the intended treatment time without medical advice.

• If you take more than you should
  • No cases of overdose have been reported to date.

• If you forget to take a dose
  • When treating dwarf tapeworm, do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose, but continue to take it until the total planned dose is reached.

• If you stop taking it
  • If you interrupt the 7-day treatment for the dwarf tapeworm, the parasite is unlikely to be killed completely and the treatment will not be effective. If you still want to stop the treatment on your own initiative, it is imperative that you speak to your doctor or pharmacist beforehand.

• To take.
• Take the respective daily dose after breakfast. To do this, chew the tasty chewable tablets to a fine paste and then wash the completely chewed chewable tablets down with a little water. You can also swallow the chewable tablets disintegrated in water.
• With smaller children, it is best to grind the chewable tablets to a fine pulp and then give the child to swallow mixed with a little water.
• Hints:
  • In particular, sour fruit juice such. B. Orange juice can be very helpful in eliminating tapeworms.
  • Basically, if you are constipated, you should ensure that your bowel is emptied properly before treatment. No special diet is required.
  • If the tapeworm is to be expelled quickly and, if possible, in one piece after the therapy, strong saline laxatives such as Glauber's salt or Epsom salt can be given no earlier than two hours after taking the chewable tablet (or, in the case of dwarf tapeworm, after the last dose). They lead to diarrhea-like stools and wash out the parasite.
  • If not removed, the tapeworm will appear in individual parts over the course of the following days.
  • In the case of infections with the pork tapeworm, it is essential to drain it off drastically.

• Like all medicines, this medicine can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.
