Virudermin ® Gel, Zinc sulfate
active ingredient: zinc sulfate 7 H2O.
Composition: 1 g of gel contains 10.0 mg of zinc sulfate 7 H2O. Otherwise. Ingredients: Methylcellulose, Benzalkonium Chloride and Purified Water.
Areas of application: Virudermin is a gel for use on the skin and is used as an astringent (Latin: astringere = to contract) for the early treatment of herpes diseases of the lip (herpes labialis) and the adjacent skin areas (herpes perioralis).
Contraindications: If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to zinc sulfate 7 H2O or one of the other ingredients, Virudermin must not be used.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: So far there has been no evidence of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Results of experimental studies are not available.
Side effects: No side effects have been reported so far.
Warning: Benzalkonium chloride can cause skin irritation.
Dosage: Apply a small amount of the gel thinly to the affected areas 3 to 4 times daily. It is important that Virudermin ® is used immediately at the first signs of illness.
