Acetocaustin® Wart Pen
Acetocaustin® has been the traditional brand for painless wart removal for 70 years.
The Acetocaustin® Wart Pen is a highly effective and safe solution for treating common warts on the hands and feet. It utilizes highly effective monochloroacetic acid (MCA) and purified water. In a clinical study, MCA proved to be a reliable alternative to cryotherapy and salicylic acid, especially for common warts*. The handy pen contains 3 ml of the solution, which is colored blue for easier and safer application. This ensures that only the wart, and not the surrounding healthy tissue, is treated.
Advantages:
- Particularly easy to use: The use of a pen is generally known, thus ensuring simple and correct use without further advice.
- Only once a week: Due to the use of the particularly effective ingredient monochloroacetic acid, application is only necessary once a week and is therefore particularly customer-friendly.
- Pain-free: No pain during use, making it ideal for children aged 4 and up.
- Safety: The solution is colored blue to ensure that it is applied only to the wart and not to the surrounding healthy tissue.
- German quality: As a Class IIa medical device and as part of an original German traditional brand since 1956, Acetocaustin® stands for proven quality and reliability.
Application in four steps:
Generously cover the skin around the wart with a good adhesive cream, preferably petroleum jelly.
Apply the blue liquid from the pen, ensuring it only comes into contact with the wart.
Allow the liquid to dry completely after application and do not cover the wart.
You can now remove the petroleum jelly .
Initial results are visible after one week.
Treat the wart only once a week according to the instructions.
Repeat the application no more than once a week. After one week, the monochloroacetic acid will have dissolved the top layer of the wart. Depending on the size of the wart, it may sometimes be necessary to repeat the procedure until the wart is completely removed, as Acetocaustin® only dissolves the top layer. *Bruggink et al., Journal of Investigative Dermatology, 2015
