Dosage form: Tablets, gastro-resistant
Acid reflux symptoms, acid regurgitation, Pantoprazole beta 20 mg acid gastro-resistant tablets
Active ingredient: pantoprazole
For use in adults
Pantoprazole beta acid contains the active ingredient pantoprazole, which blocks a type of pump that produces stomach acid. As a result, the amount of acid in the stomach is reduced.
Pantoprazole beta acid is used for the short-term treatment of acid reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults. Reflux is the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus, which can become painfully inflamed. This can cause symptoms such as a painful burning sensation in the chest that rises up to the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid reflux).
You may experience relief from your reflux and heartburn symptoms after just one day of treatment with Pantoprazole, but this medicine may not provide immediate relief. It may be necessary to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to relieve symptoms. If you do not feel better or feel worse after 2 weeks, contact your doctor.
The recommended dose is one tablet a day. Do not exceed this recommended daily dose of 20 mg pantoprazole.
Pantoprazole beta acid should not be taken by children and adolescents under the age of 18 as there is insufficient information on safety for this younger age group
Pantoprazole contains lactose
