DIKY 4% Acute, blunt trauma, 30ml
- DIKY 4% is indicated for local, short-term use in the treatment of acute mild to moderate pain and relief of swelling of small and medium-sized joints and surrounding tissues following acute, blunt trauma.
Composition of DIKA 4%:
Active substance: diclofenac sodium (Diclofenacum natricum). Each gram of solution contains 40mg of diclofenac sodium and excipients: propylene glycol (E 1520), isopropyl alcohol, NAT 8539: soy lecithin 76% and anhydrous ethanol, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, disodium edetate, peppermint oil, ascorbyl palmitate, purified water, hydrochloric acid 10% and sodium hydroxide 10% (to adjust pH).
DIKY 4% action:
A drug in the form of a skin spray. The active substance of the medicinal product DIKY 4% is diclofenac sodium. It belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The drug is indicated for local use to relieve acute pain of mild to moderate intensity and swelling of small and medium-sized joints and surrounding tissues after acute, blunt trauma. The drug should be used for a short period of time. It can be used in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.
Application:
The medicinal product DIKY 4% is indicated for the short-term treatment of acute mild to moderate pain and swelling of small and medium-sized joints and surrounding tissues following acute, blunt trauma. For use in adolescents over 14 years of age and in adults.
Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect it from moisture and light. Do not use after 6 months from the first opening. Before use, talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have or have ever had a stomach ulcer, liver or kidney problems, a tendency to bleeding or inflammatory bowel disease; you have or have ever had bronchial asthma or allergies. Do not apply this medicine to damaged skin, open wounds or infected skin. Do not apply this medicine to large areas of skin and for a longer period of time, unless your doctor has told you to. Follow the dosage recommendations, do not exceed the maximum duration of treatment. Do not use around the eyes, nose or mouth. If the medicine gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water and contact your doctor. The medicine is intended for external use only. Do not apply the product in the mouth and do not swallow it. Avoid exposure to the sun (including solarium) while using this medicine. If skin reactions occur, stop using the medicine. Stop using the medicine if a skin rash develops. Do not cover the area where the medicine was applied with occlusive dressings (waterproof or airtight) or plasters. Wash your hands after use, unless this is the area to be treated. Use in children and adolescents: Do not use in adolescents and children under 14 years of age. Use with other medicines: Discuss this with your doctor, especially if you are taking medicines such as other medicines (tablets, capsules or suppositories for pain) with diclofenac sodium, acetylsalicylic acid or another anti-inflammatory medicine, e.g. ibuprofen - the concomitant use of different non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may increase the risk of side effects. Use during pregnancy and breast-feeding: Talk to your doctor, but use in the third trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated (it may harm the unborn child or cause problems during delivery). In the first 6 months of pregnancy, the drug can only be used after consulting a doctor - in this case, the dose should be as low as possible and the duration of use as short as possible. The drug can be used by breastfeeding women only after consulting a doctor. It should be known that diclofenac passes into milk in small amounts. Breastfeeding women should not use the drug on their breasts or on large areas of skin for a long time. Driving and operating machinery: the drug has no effect. The drug contains soy lecithin - do not use in case of allergy to soy or peanuts. The drug contains propylene glycol - 150 mg of propylene glycol in each gram of solution. Propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.The medicine contains alcohol (ethanol) - 33.3 mg of alcohol (ethanol) in each gram of solution. May cause burning of damaged skin.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug, to peanuts, soya. Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen or any other NSAID (medicines used to treat pain, fever or inflammation) - symptoms of an allergic reaction may include difficulty breathing, rash and runny nose. Do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy. Do not use in children and adolescents under 14 years of age.
Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking this medicine. Stop using this medicine and talk to your doctor or pharmacist immediately if you experience any of the following allergic symptoms: skin rash with blisters, hives, wheezing, shortness of breath, a feeling of tightness in the chest (asthma), swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat. Stop using this medicine if you get a skin rash. After topical (on the skin) application of medicines containing diclofenac, reactions at the application site have been observed commonly - rash, itching, redness, a burning sensation or peeling of the skin. Side effects that occur: common - skin rash, itching, redness or a burning sensation of the skin; very rare - the skin may be more sensitive to the sun - possible symptoms include sunburn with itching, swelling and blisters; frequency unknown - reactions at the application site, dry skin, a burning sensation. If the drug is used long-term (longer than 3 weeks) and/or on large skin areas, systemic side effects may occur, e.g. stomach pain and disorders, heartburn and kidney problems.
Dosage of DIKY 4% solution:
Use the medicine as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. The medicine is for external use only. Recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age – apply 4-5 sprays of the medicine to the skin in the painful area, apply 3 times a day. The number of sprays depends on the size of the treated area. The maximum single dose should not exceed 5 sprays. The maximum daily dose is 15 sprays. Directions for use: remove the cap, spray the medicine on the skin in the place of pain or swelling, hold the bottle vertically during application. Rub the medicine into the skin. Wash your hands after use, unless they are the ones being treated. After applying the medicine, wait a few minutes for the skin to dry before applying a dressing or bandage. Be careful, as wet medicine can stain clothing. Duration of treatment: after the symptoms (pain and swelling) have subsided, discontinue treatment. Do not use for longer than 7-8 days without consulting a doctor. If there is no improvement after 3 days of treatment or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor. If in adolescents over 14 years of age the medicine needs to be used for more than 7 days to relieve pain or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.
