  • Neosine Forte 1g is a medicinal product used in the course of viral infections. The active substance is inosine pranobex, ie a component showing antiviral activity and stimulating the immune system.

NEOSINE Forte Composition:
The active substance: inosine pranobex (an inosine-containing complex and 4-hydroxypropyl dimethyl ammonium acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1: 3). One tablet contains 1000 mg of inosine in pranobex and auxiliary substances: wheat starch, mannitol, povidone 30, magnesium stearate.

NEOSINE Forte Action:
Inosine pranobex is a substance responsible for the antiviral and anti-body properties of Neosine Forte tablets. The mechanism of action of the drug is to stimulate the response of the cellular immune system associated with T lymphocytes.

NEOSINE Forte Application:
Neosine Forte 1g indicated for use in the case of skin infections and mucous membrane infections with herpes labialis (type I), genital herpes (type II), varicella-zoster virus and other viral infections, e.g. the course of subacute sclerosing encephalitis occurring as a complication of measles, as well as auxiliary in combination therapy in immunocompromised patients with recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract.

Additional information:
The drug contains wheat starch, it must not be used in people allergic to wheat. It is suitable for use in people with celiac disease. Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. The drug may affect the ability to drive and use machines.

Contraindications:
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to any component of the medicinal preparation and in people with current gout attack or increased uric acid in the blood. Do not use in children under the age of 1, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Side effects:
Like all medicines Neosine Forte can cause side effects. Common: transient increases in blood uric acid, elevated liver enzymes or blood urea nitrogen, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, arthralgia, headache, dizziness, skin rash, tiredness or malaise. Uncommon: diarrhea, constipation, nervousness, drowsiness or problems falling asleep (insomnia), polyuria (excretion of large amounts of urine).

Dosage: To be used
orally. Take it as directed by your doctor or as recommended in the leaflet. Swallow the tablet whole with plenty of water or crush and dissolve in a small amount of water. The dose of the drug should be determined by the doctor, taking into account the type of infection and the patient's weight. Adults, including people over 65: typically 50mg / kg body weight, or typically 1 tablet 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose: 4 tablets. Children over 1 year of age: usually 50mg / kg body weight in several (3-4) divided doses. Unless otherwise advised by the doctor, the treatment should last for 5-14 days, and tablets should be taken for 1-2 days after the symptoms have disappeared.
