Spalt ^®Headache is an over-the-counter medicine used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of fever and mild to moderate pain such as headache. The most common type of headache is a tension headache. These are usually bilateral, pushing and pulling and intensify with physical exertion. Tension headaches can radiate from the neck to the head, start at the temples or even the forehead. Spalt ^® headache contains the proven active ingredient ibuprofen in a completely dissolved form in a small, easy-to-swallow liquid capsule. Due to the completely dissolved form, the maximum concentration of ibuprofen in the blood plasma is reached more quickly. In this way, Spalt ^® headache can develop its effect earlier. Gap ^®Headache quickly relieves the pain.



ACTIVE AGENTS
A gap ^® headache liquid capsule contains:
Ibuprofen 200 mg

Excipients: Macrogol 400/600 contains, potassium hydroxide (Ph. Eur.) Solution of partially dehydrated sorbitol, gelatin, purified (Ph.Eur.) Water, propylene glycol, polyvinyl acetate phthalate, quinoline yellow (E104), patent blue V (E131), titanium dioxide (E171).



FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Spalt ^® Kopfschmerz is a medicinal product for the short-term symptomatic treatment of fever and mild to moderately severe pain such as headache.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

For adults:
If adults have to take this drug for more than 3 days for fever, for more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.

Children and adolescents:
If children and adolescents continue to use this medicine for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.



The recommended dose is

body weight (age) : 20 kg – 29 kg / 6–9 years
Single dose : 1 liquid capsule (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen)
Max. Daily dose : 3 liquid capsules (equivalent to 600 mg ibuprofen)

Body weight (age) : 30 kg – 39 kg / 10-11 years
Single dose : 1 liquid capsule (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen)
Max. Daily dose : 4 liquid capsules (equivalent to 800 mg ibuprofen)

Body weight (age) : adolescents from 12 years and adults (over 40 kg)
Single dose : 1–2 liquid capsules (equivalent to 200–400 mg ibuprofen)
Max. Daily dose : 6 liquid capsules (equivalent to 1200 mg Ibuprofen)



If the maximum single dose has been taken, you should wait at least 6 hours before taking the next dose.

Spalt ^® headache should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water) during or after a meal.

If the impression arises that the effect of Spalt ^® headache is too strong or too weak, a consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is recommended.
