Frontline Tri-Act  fipronil, permethrin Areas of application: For the treatment and prevention of flea and / or tick infestations, if at the same time a repelling effect (preventing blood uptake) against sand flies, biting flies and / or mosquitoes is indicated. Fleas: treatment and prevention of flea infestation with Ctenocephalides felis and prevention of flea infestation with C. canis. Treatment prevents a new flea infestation for 4 weeks. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis, provided this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Ticks: treatment and prevention of tick infestations (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The treatment kills ticks (D. reticulatus, I. ricinus, R. sanguineus) and acts as a repellent against ticks (I. ricinus, R. sanguineus) for 4 weeks after the treatment. The repellent effectiveness against D. reticulatus begins on day 7 after treatment and lasts for up to 4 weeks.

Mosquitoes and sand flies: Repels against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 3 weeks and against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus) for 4 weeks. Kills sand flies (P. perniciosus) and mosquitoes (A. albopictus) for 3 weeks. Reducing the risk of Leishmania infantum infection for up to 4 weeks. The effect is based on an indirect effectiveness of the veterinary medicinal product against the vector.
Biting flies: Repels and kills the common biting fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks. [May 2020]
