Active substance: doxylamines hydrogen succinate (Doxylamini hydrogenosuccinas). One tablet contains 12.5 mg of doxylamine hydrogen succinate and auxiliary substances: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A); colloidal anhydrous silica; magnesium stearate; hypromellose (15 mPa s), polydextrose; talc; titanium dioxide (E 171); maltodextrin; medium chain fatty acid triglycerides; cochineal red lake (E 124); sunset yellow, lake (E 110); quinoline yellow lake (E 104).

Doxylamine hydrogen succinate is the active ingredient of Dorminox 12.5 mg. Doxylamine belongs to antihistamines - it has a hypnotic and sedative effect. The drug is indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of occasional insomnia. It can only be used in adults. The drug is not intended for the treatment of chronic sleep disorders.

Application:
Dorminox 12.5 mg is indicated for short-term use in the symptomatic treatment of occasional insomnia in adults - mainly in the event of difficulty falling asleep, frequent night awakenings, early morning awakening related to stress or changing time zones.

Use the drug as directed by your doctor or as indicated on the leaflet. Use orally. Take a sufficient amount of liquid (e.g. a glass of water). Can be used with or after food. Note that the line on the tablet helps you break it for easier swallowing, it does not divide the tablet into two equal doses! People over 18 years of age: the recommended starting dose - 12.5 mg (1 tablet) 30 minutes before bedtime. If this dose is insufficient to relieve the symptoms of insomnia, it can be increased to 25 mg (2 tablets). The maximum daily dose - 25 mg (2 tablets). Before taking this medicine, make sure you have enough time to sleep - 8 hours - to avoid sleepiness the next morning. If daytime sleepiness occurs, it is recommended to take the dose earlier and reduce it to 12. 5mg (in case a double dose was used). For people with persistent sleep problems, it is recommended to consult a doctor. Elderly people: the recommended initial dose - 12.5 mg (1 tablet), 30 minutes before going to bed. The dose can be increased to 25 mg (2 tablets) if the initial dose is insufficient. If side effects occur, reduce the dose to 12.5 mg per day (1 tablet). People with impaired liver and / or kidney function: do not use in case of severe disorders. In case of moderate liver and / or kidney disease, consult your doctor before taking the drug. In patients with mildly impaired liver and / or kidney function, the recommended dose is 12.5 mg. Duration of treatment: it is recommended to use the drug as short as possible - up to one week.
