  • The preparation is a herbal medicine for sedation.
    • Herbal medicine for use in mild nervous tension and insomnia.

  • Always take the medicine exactly as directed. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
    • for adults and adolescents over 12 years:
      • For the treatment of mild nervous tension, 2 coated tablets up to 3 times a day.
      • For the treatment of insomnia 2 coated tablets ½ - 1 hour before bedtime. If necessary, you can take an additional 2 coated tablets earlier in the evening. The single dose corresponds to 2 - 3 g of valerian root.
      • Maximum daily dose: 4 single doses = 8 coated tablets.
    • It is not intended for use in children under the age of 12.
    • There is insufficient data for specific dosage recommendations in the case of impaired kidney/liver function.

 

  • Duration of use:
    • Due to the gradual effect, valerian root is not suitable for the acute treatment of mild nervous tension or sleep disorders. In order to achieve optimal treatment success, it is recommended to adhere to continuous use for 2 - 4 weeks.
    • If symptoms persist or worsen after two weeks of continuous use of the drug, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
    • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

  • If you take more than you should:
    • If you accidentally take 1 or 2 more coated tablets than you should, this usually has no adverse consequences. In this case, continue taking it as described in the dosing instructions or as directed by your doctor.
    • If you have significantly overdosed this medicine, you should consult a doctor.

 

  • If you forget to take a dose:
    • Do not take a double dose, but continue to take it as directed or as directed by your doctor.

 

  • If you stop taking:
    • Interrupting or prematurely ending treatment is usually harmless.

 

  • If you have any further questions on the use of the medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • When taken with food and drink:
    • Avoid drinking alcohol while using this medicine.

  • The medicine must not be taken:
    • if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to valerian root or any of the other ingredients.

  • Safety during pregnancy and lactation has not been adequately studied. It is therefore not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
