Indomethacin ELMETACIN is very anti-inflammatory, strongly analgesic, weak antipyretic by inhibiting cyclooxygenase, which blocks the synthesis of cyclic peroxides, prostaglandins, thromboxanes, prostacyclin. ELMETACIN also has anti-swelling effects. The concentration of indomethacin is higher in tissues than in blood. When applied externally, it exerts a local effect. It is well absorbed from the skin, reaching a maximum plasma concentration in 4-11 h after administration. Absorbed into the body, ELMETACIN binds to plasma proteins in over 90%. It is metabolized in the liver and kidneys to inactive metabolites (deschlorobenzoylindometacin, demethylindometacin). T _0.5is 3-4 hours. It is excreted in 10-20% in the unchanged form and as inactive urine metabolites (about 66%), the remaining part of the faeces in unchanged form.

Locally in pains and inflammatory conditions accompanying: rheumatic changes of soft tissues (tendinitis, tendibitis, stiff joints, muscle and joint inflammation), exacerbation of osteoarthritis, blunt traumatic and traumatic injuries (sprains, dislocations, contusions).

ELMETACIN spray aerosol, indomethacin Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, breastfeeding period. Do not use on open wounds, mucous membranes and conjunctiva. If you are taking another form of indomethacin at the same time, you should count the total dose so that you do not exceed 200 mg per day.
Warning. In case of overdose, hypersensitivity or misuse, please remember about the contraindications as for the general use of indomethacin: active gastric and / or duodenal ulcer, enteritis, ulcerative colitis, epilepsy, parkinsonism, severe mental illness, haemorrhagic diathesis, bronchial asthma, pregnancy and breastfeeding, combining with anticoagulants, acetylsalicylic acid. Use with caution in myocardial, renal and hepatic insufficiency during concomitant treatment with sulphonamides, in patients with impaired vision and with concomitant infectious diseases due to the possibility of indometacin masking the symptoms of infection.

ELMETACIN spray aerosol 50ml, indomethacin Dosage:

Adults: spray ELMETACIN the affected area with the solution 3-5 times a day at a dose of 10 pushes of the aerosol dispenser. The maximum daily dose is 25 ml (200 mg indomethacin) and can be used exceptionally, a maximum of a few days.
