SOCKETOL Paste for wound after tooth extraction

For the treatment of tooth extraction wounds.

What Socketol is and what it is used for
Means for treating tooth extraction wounds.

Analgesic and antiseptic drug to be placed in the alveolus.

How to use Socketol
Use this medicine according to the dosage recommendations below.

The amount required depends on the size of the alveolus, which is only half filled with SOCKETOL.

On average you need between 200 - 300 mg of paste; this corresponds to 30 - 45 mg lidocaine hydrochloride. For multi-rooted teeth, up to 500 mg of paste, equivalent to 75 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride, may be needed.

These are doses well below the maximum recommended dose of 200-300 mg lidocaine hydrochloride for nerve block or infiltration anesthesia. In this way, intoxication from the local anesthetic can be largely ruled out.

After thorough cleaning and rinsing of the extraction wound with hydrogen peroxide, fill the socket with SOCKETOL up to half and press the socket edges together. To do this, unscrew the cap from the application syringe and screw one of the enclosed application cannulas freshly removed from the individual packaging onto the application syringe and use it to apply the required amount of SOCKETOL.

A new application cannula must be used for each application.

The alveolus insert can be repeated several days in a row depending on the pain level.

If you use more SOCKETOL than you should Due to the dosage and the slow release of the active ingredients from the paste, systemic intoxication reactions are not to be expected.

If there are signs of lidocaine overdose, such as restlessness and tremor, the insert should be removed from the socket and the patient observed until symptoms resolve.
